Diane J. Brisebois, CAE, President & Chief Executive Officer, Retail Council of Canada
Diane J. Brisebois is President and Chief Executive Officer of Retail Council of Canada (RCC), a position she has held since January, 1995.

RCC represents more than 9,000 retailers with more than 40,000 locations across Canada. The industry employs more than two million Canadians and generated approximately $368 billion in sales in 2005.

In addition to her work with RCC, Ms. Brisebois has and continues to serve on several volunteer boards. She is Immediate Past Chair of the Traffic Injury Research Foundation, former Chair of Gifts in Kind Canada, former Chair of the Canadian Society of Association Executives, and a member of the Board of Directors of Covenant House Toronto.

She also serves as a Director of Ryerson University's School of Retail Management Advisory Board, and the University of Alberta's Business School Advisory Counsel on Retail Studies.

Ms. Brisebois also serves on the board of Stewardship Ontario and on the board of Waste Diversion Ontario.

Prior to joining RCC, Ms. Brisebois served for 14 years as Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Office Products Association (COPA). In 1999, she received the Outstanding Achievement Award from COPA, in recognition for her leadership and her many years of service.

Ms. Brisebois was also recognized by the association community in Canada and was presented with the profession's highest award, the prestigious Pinnacle Award in 2002. This award recognizes outstanding leadership and innovation in association management.

Ms. Brisebois is a native of Montreal. She now resides in Toronto, Ontario.
