RCC's Government Relations team puts the retail agenda on the radar screens of Canada's policy-makers at the federal and provincial levels. The agenda includes issues relating to taxation, human resources training, employment and labour relations, international trade, environmental protection and market practices.

Retailers recognize the importance of employing skilled people at every level of their organizations. RCC's Education team oversees training and certification programs through the Canadian Retail Institute.
