British Columbia Finance officials have indicated that businesses are now able to register to collect the Provincial Sales Tax, which is being re-instituted in B.C. on April 1, 2013. They have also asked RCC to pass the following information to our members in B.C.
Retailers with stores in B.C. have three options for registration:
- Online – click here to register. Online registration should take about 10 to 20 minutes to complete according to officials.
- In person - at Service B.C. Centres (see locations) or at B.C. Finance’s office at 1802 Douglas Street in Victoria.
- By mail or fax - the Application for Registration for Provincial Sales Tax (FIN 418) can be found here (go to Forms and Publications).
