Retail Council of Canada/Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR), March 2007 (155 Kb PDF File)
As Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues continue to be front-of-mind for Canada’s retailers, Retail Council of Canada hosted the industry’s first-ever CSR Conference on October 19, 2006.
The discussion of the day was thought provoking. Issues discussed ranged from ethical sourcing practices to energy efficiency initiatives; from retail environmental sustainability to using CSR as a tool to attract and retain quality employees.
Retail Council of Canada has issued, for members only, an executive report in review of the topics discussed at the CSR Conference.
We know that retailers across Canada — small, mid- and large — will find this information to be of interest and relevant to their businesses.
