RCC and its members remain deeply committed to providing safe food, health and consumer product to Canadians. We respectfully request clarity with respect to how the details of the Action Plan will be implemented in a fair and balanced way. It is recommended that the focus be placed as early as possible in the product lifecycle to prevent issues before they reach the hands of consumers, that targeted oversight reflects sound risk management practices and that science-based evidence of an issue result in rapid response.
