I was not provided complete copies of my merchant-acquirer agreement or the ‘terms and conditions’ of my merchant agreement, in a timely manner, or at all.
I believe my provider has attempted to alter or has altered my merchant-acquirer agreement without giving advance notice (e.g. 90 days prior to the changes), or any notice at all.
I feel I was misled by sales representatives or advertisements promising rates and fees that were unable to be honoured.
I have noticed inconsistencies between the information disclosed in my merchant-acquirer agreement and the information in my monthly statements (i.e. terminology used in initial agreement to describe fees differs from the terminology used on monthly statements).
My monthly merchant statements were or are missing the following code mandated information: Effective merchant discount rate for each type of payment card from a payment card network; Interchange rates and, if applicable, all other rates charged to the merchants by the acquirer; The number and volume of transactions for each type of payment transaction; The total amount of fees applicable to each rate; and, Details of each fee and to which payment card network they relate.
Due to exorbitant cancellation fees or a terminal lease, I was unable to cancel my merchant agreement despite receiving notification of an increase in my rates.
When I entered my merchant agreement, it was not clear to me that I was also agreeing to work with a third party, such as equipment lease provider.
My provider advised me they were increasing my fees, but I was not able to find any information about this on their website
My provider is increasing my fees, or introducing a new fee and I was not provided with 90 days notice of these changes before they take affect
I was notified about a new fee or increasing fees, but was not able to cancel my contract without penalty
