Since 1990, Todd and Rosalie Seward have been busy acquiring and expanding small retail businesses in Labrador City, a remote mining community near the Quebec-Labrador border. They began with a combined pharmacy and convenience store in 1990, purchased a second convenience outlet in 2002 and last year bought a two-storey commercial building that contains another convenience store, a bakery and three apartments.
