As of January 1, 2012 all business in Ontario with at least one employee will need to comply with the new Accessible Customer Service Standard. The standard isn’t about ramps or automatic doors. It’s about understanding that people with disabilities may have different needs. It can be as easy as asking “How can I help?” and making small changes to how you serve customers with disabilities. While the standard is only required in Ontario, wouldn’t your business benefit from more effectively serving a market worth an estimated $25 billion?
