For members who sell food in Canada – predictable and regularized cycle for food labelling changes

June 7, 2019

The Government of Canada has agreed to a predictable, aligned and regularized cycle for all future food labelling changes under item 24 of their Targeted Regulatory Review for Agri-food and Aquaculture published on June 7, 2019.

This represents a significant win for RCC members who sell food and have private label brands in Canada, avoiding the need for unpredictable, multiple and costly label changes as a result of various government initiatives.

RCC will participate in the consultations slated to begin later this year to establish the cycle.
