The British Columbia government announced today that the minimum wage will increase to $11.35 an hour on September 15, 2017. The increase is 50 cents per hour consisting of a 20 cent rise due to the CPI and an additional 30 cent increase.
This is the second consecutive year that the Government has broken its’ commitment to maintain minimum wage increases at the rate of inflation (e.g., based upon the Consumer Price Index).
