March 4, 2025

Amid U.S.-driven economic uncertaintyAlberta’s 2025 budget falls short on business commitments but delivers a major personal tax break to support affordability and increase consumer spending power. The government has also pledged to streamline credential recognition for workers from provinces and countries with similar standards. However, the budget lacks new investments in safety, security, and job training. Instead, it sets aside a $2 billion contingency fund to manage economic uncertainties, including potential oil tariffs.
