Amendments to Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act

B.C. introduced Bill 4, the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act on February 25, 2025. The important changes to the legislation include: prohibiting some terms in consumer contracts; other requirements for consumer contracts including subscriptions; and, regulating direct sales. Several law firms have posted bulletins on the new legislation including Blakes.
