B.C. NDP Government Re-elected

Final counts have been completed and the B.C. New Democrats led by David Eby have been re-elected as government with a one-seat majority. (There will be two recounts in the coming weeks.)  Premier David Eby is expected to form a new government in late November or early December. RCC does not expect significant change in policy and will continue to emphasize similar issues with the new government including the impacts of retail crime as well as various labour and environmental policy issues. RCC will monitor the formation of the government and reach out to relevant Ministers and begin the process to reach out to 58 new MLAs.
