BC Introduces Legislation Limiting Employer Ability to Request Sick Notes
May 13, 2025The BC Government introduced legislation, Bill 11, the Employment Standards Amendment Act, 2025, on April 15, 2025.

Government began a consultation period on proposed regulations which will outline the circumstances where an employer may request a sick note. Government distributed an Engagement Paper for Employers and Labour on May 2, 2025.
