California’s New Textile Law: Major Implications for Apparel Retailers

California’s new Responsible Textile Recovery Act (SB 707), signed into law on September 28, 2024, introduces Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for textiles. This law requires manufacturers to manage the full lifecycle of their products, creating major changes for those selling into the U.S. market.
