City of Montreal agrees to help retailers with holiday 2020

Last week, after urging from RCC-CCCD, the City of Montreal announced a few strategies to help bring consumers back to the downtown core to do their holiday season shopping.
From November 14 to December 31, 2020, the City will now offer free parking on weekends, will extend stores’ opening hours, and will organize street entertainment. These measures will make shopping easier and help bring back the festive spirit that has always characterized Montreal’s downtown during the holidays.
RCC-CCCD’s retailers are invited to take advantage of these extra perks and think about what they can do to make sure shoppers’ experiences are as magical as possible. Together, we can make sure that shopping this holiday is enjoyable and safe.
