Recently passed electricity regulations will help businesses pay less for power by generating their own electricity through renewable energy installations like solar panels. There will be a limit to the amount of electricity that can be generated (eg: 200 kilowatts for most retailers). The regulations have tasked Nova Scotia Power with administering the program while preventing Nova Scotia Power from imposing additional system access charges for program participants.
