Health Canada to release new policy on hand sanitizer sold in beverage containers

September 3, 2020

RCC has been working with Health Canada officials and other industry associations on a new policy for hand sanitizers being sold in beverage containers. The new policy is expected to be released by mid-September and will require cautionary messaging on the label and new closures to help minimize the risk of accidental ingestion of these products.

RCC is advocating that these changes have minimal impact on retailers and their operations. We will share the new policy document once it is published.
