Air Canada Pilots Reach Deal, But Retail Supply Chain Risks Remain
September 17, 2024Air Canada and its pilot union reached a critical agreement on Sunday, avoiding a potentially damaging labour disruption. A work stoppage at Canada’s largest airline would have impacted retailers in many ways and is why RCC teamed up with other business associations to push for an immediate resolution.
RCC continues to monitor labour negotiations between dock forepersons and the Port of Vancouver and the ongoing labour talks at the Port of Montreal. Either of these situations could move quickly and pose a threat to retail supply chains.
