National Supply Chain Disruption Alert

Canadian National Railway (CN) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) are still working through delays caused by the recent rail shutdown. The situation is compounded by a significant backlog of containers at key terminals, especially the Port of Vancouver, further straining the supply chain.

RCC is also closely monitoring potential retail supply chain disruptions due to ongoing labour disputes with dock forepersons at West Coast ports – where hearings are set to begin on September 11, 2024—and longshore workers at the Port of Montreal.
