E-Bikes, Smart Watches, and More Join PEI’s EPR Program
June 18, 2024Attention retailers who sell electronics, fitness and sports equipment, wearable tech and gadgets and e-bike and scooter vendors: This fall, significant changes are coming to Prince Edward Island’s EPR program for electronics. Starting October 1, 2024, the PEI government will include e-bikes, scooters, exercise equipment, and wearables like smart watches in the list of obligated items under the province’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations.
