Due to concerns around the COVID-19 virus, Retail Council of Canada has opted to reschedule this event for later this year.  We will inform all current registrants of the new date asap.  At this time, you will have the option of holding onto your ticket for the new date, transferring your registration to a colleague or receiving a full refund. Once the new date is confirmed, registration will re-open.

 


The Leaders in Retail Breakfast Series provides a unique opportunity for vendors and suppliers to hear directly from senior leaders of Canada’s biggest retail brands – without reporters or retail competitors in the room. No other program offers direct access to some of the most successful leaders in Canadian retail in such an intimate setting. Bring your entire team to hear first-hand business strategies from these important retail leaders.  

This event will be presented in French with simultaneous English translation.

Pierre St-Laurent, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer Full Service, Sobeys Inc.

Pierre St-Laurent is Chief Operating Officer, Full Service for Sobeys Inc. Pierre St-Laurent is Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, Service Banners at Sobeys Inc. Mr. St-Laurent has built his entire career at Sobeys, where he has worked since leaving university in 1991 as Bachelor in Administration from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM). Mr. St-Laurent is now responsible for the main Sobeys merchant teams and also for the creation of a national marketing function. Previously, he held the position of Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Retail Operations and Business Development for Sobeys Quebec. He is a Member of the Board of the Fondation Charles-Bruneau Foundation, playing a significant role in key fundraising events.

 

 

Luc L’Archevêque, Senior Vice President, Merchandising & General Manager, Québec, Sobeys Inc.

Mr. Luc L’Archevêque, who completed a bachelor’s degree in Operations and Production Management at the école des hautes études commerciales (HEC), began his career as Buyer for the Fresh division of a food retailer, before joining Sobeys Quebec in 1997 as Buyer for the Grocery sector. Over the next 8 years, he successively occupied the positions of Marketing Coordinator and Category Manager, Grocery. In 2006, after spending a year with Mars Canada, he returned to Sobeys Quebec as Senior Director, Merchandising, Multi-Banner. Following his transfer to the IGA Grocery Merchandising team in December 2016, as Senior Director, he was promoted Vice-President, Merchandising Grocery for IGA and IGA extra banners in April 2017. In May 2019, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Merchandising & General Manager, Québec.
