International Students Can Now Work More Hours

November 19, 2024

Starting November 8, 2024, eligible international students can work off campus up to 24 hours per week—up from 20—without a work permit. To qualify, they must be enrolled full-time in a post-secondary or Quebec secondary vocational program lasting at least six months. Students can still work full-time during academic breaks, offering greater flexibility for employers and employees alike. Check full eligibility requirements here.
