Minimum wage to increase to $16.75 per hour on June 1, 2023

April 11, 2023

On June 1, 2023, B.C.’s minimum wage will rise from $15.65 to $16.75 per hour, an increase of $1.10.

The government has said that the increase reflects the average annual inflation rate for 2022. B.C. has the second-highest minimum wage in the country after Yukon at $16.77 an hour.

The B.C. government has said they are looking to tie future increases to inflation, as RCC has long advocated, prior to the 2024 increase. RCC maintains a minimum wage page for member reference.
