More Alcohol Options Coming to Ontario Grocery Stores

November 5, 2024

Attention Ontario Grocers: On October 31, 2024, Ontario took another big step in expanding alcohol sales at grocery stores. Now, all eligible grocery and big-box stores can apply to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) for a licence to sell beer, cider, wine, and ready-to-drink beverages, including larger formats like 24-packs of beer. RCC is fighting for solutions on key challenges like LCBO pricing, trade spend restrictions, supply chain issues, and upcoming container return requirements.
