New Return to Work & Duty to Cooperate Policy
March 25, 2025On July 15, 2025, the Nova Scotia Workers’ Compensation Board (NS WCB) will implement a new Return to Work & Duty to Cooperate policy that will require a greater and earlier level of engagement in the return-to-work process from employers and workers, following a workplace injury. The new policy may cause some challenges for employers. Nevertheless, RCC believes these changes are necessary, given the need to improve the return-to-work process following workplace injuries in Nova Scotia. The NS WCB has been conducting stakeholder outreach and will be hosting free webinars on this policy change. RCC members are encouraged to participate and/or to reach out to the RCC Atlantic office for more information.
