Nova Scotia accelerates removal of interprovincial travel restrictions
June 24, 2021The Nova Scotia government has clarified that at 8am on June 30, 2021, New Brunswickers and Atlantic Canadians entering the province from New Brunswick, will no longer have to complete a Nova Scotia Safe Check-in form. In addition, these travellers will not have to self-isolate while awaiting the results of an in-province COVID-19 test. This decision will finally result in the creation of an Atlantic Bubble.
The government is also speeding up its timeline for loosening COVID-19 restrictions by allowing all Canadians from outside of Atlantic Canada to enter Nova Scotia as of June 30, 2021. However, these travellers will have to complete the Nova Scotia Safe Check-in form and may be subject to self-isolation rules (regardless of their vaccination status) until they have received a negative COVID-19 test in Nova Scotia.
