PEI Postpones Minimum Wage Hike Until Fall 2025
March 18, 2025The PEI Government has postponed its minimum wage adjustment, likely until October 1, 2025. While PEI isn’t legislated to follow the April 1st adjustment like its Atlantic neighbours, it has done so for the past decade. The reason for the last-minute delay is unclear, though leadership changes may have played a role. Officials assure ample notice, likely by June/July.
