PFAS and Federal Plastics Registry Reporting Deadlines

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has announced two critical reporting deadlines:

• January 29, 2025: Submit data on Per and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) for the 2023 calendar year, as mandated by the Section 71 notice issued on July 27, 2024. Canada Gazette
• September 29, 2025: Report data for the 2024 calendar year to Phase 1 of the new Section 46 Federal Plastics Registry. Canada.ca

Both of these reporting requirements are monumental tasks, necessitating the collection of data not traditionally tracked. RCC is actively collaborating with members and engaging with the government to facilitate compliance.
