Proposed Accessible Information and Communications Regulations for Manitoba released
August 10, 2021On Friday, August 6, 2021, the Manitoba government released its proposed Accessible Information and Communications Standard regulation, and is now holding a 60-day public consultation period. This is the province’s third such standard, including those designed to eliminate barriers in the area of customer service and employment.
The regulation creates new requirements for the accessible design of web content and web applications on a go-forward basis. RCC is working directly with the government and intends to host a member webinar to update members on each of the Standards.
