Edmonton To Tighten Bear Spray Sales Rules 

Attention retailers who sell bear spray: On July 3, 2024, Edmonton City Council approved changes to regulate the sale of Oleoresin Capsicum Spray Sales (Bear Spray) (item 8.1). The City is now implementing these amendments and will inform businesses of new requirements by September 2024. Enforcement won’t start until the rules are well communicated.
