RCC Hosted Retail Crime Alberta Summit 

To support a more coordinated response to Alberta retail crime, this past week RCC hosted a Summit that brought together police chiefs from across the province, crown prosecution, Justice and Public Safety Ministry reps and representative retailers for a frank discussion about the challenges each are facing by the escalating cases of violent and repeat offenders.   Discussions focused on a series of priorities to inform a summary report that will be reviewed and endorsed by each organization.   The feature recommendation was the establishment of a Retail Crime Executive Task Force to support province wide coordination.
