This report was developed from interviews of mid-and large-size retailers from September 3 to 6, 2024. Our survey was comprised of 5,595 retail doors, representing various retail formats and geographies. We looked at the periods of June to September, month-to-date, from a high level, taking a deeper dive into August metrics and including a perspective on the Labour Day long-weekend and the Back-To-School retail event. The report's results capture sales and other metrics based on information supplied by retail respondents to the survey. We do not present the results as a statistically representative analysis. They are, instead, a retail pulse to help provide context around trends impacting the industry. We do not include respondents from the gas, motor vehicles or grocery sectors within our survey.
