Single-use plastic bags to be banned in Yukon from January 1, 2022
October 5, 2021Yukon has enacted a new regulation that will ban single-use plastic bags, with some exemptions. The ban will also expand to single-use paper bags as of January 1, 2023. RCC provided input to the Yukon government that the initially proposed implementation timeline (summer 2021) was too brief, and that harmonized action across the territory is preferable to individual bans.
