TransCanada reopens

Thanks to the great work performed over the past week by the team at the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, the Trans Canada Highway reopened to one lane on December 1, 2021 at approximately 2pm NT. Work crews hope to have the Trans Canada Highway back to full capacity before Friday, December 3, 2021.

Please note that Marine Atlantic will also be returning to its regular crossings (between North Sydney, NS and Port-Aux-Basques, Nfld and Lab) beginning December 2, 2021.
