Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Where Have We Been and Where Are We Going?


The goal of the AODA is to make Ontario accessible to persons with disabilities by the year 2025. Significant responsibility for achieving this goal has been placed on organizations operating in Ontario’s private sector, and in particular retail. This session reviews what we have learned through the process of complying with the first set of accessibility standards – the Customer Service Standards – and helps retailers prepare for what’s coming next.
