WorkSafeBC Seeks Your Input on Policy Workplans for 2024-2026

November 5, 2024

Attention Retailers in British Columbia, especially HR Teams, and Safety Officers: WorkSafeBC is inviting feedback on their Policy and Regulatory Workplans, open for consultation until 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, November 17, 2024. Members can share their perspectives directly with WorkSafeBC using this feedback form.

The Policy Workplan outlines possible updates on key issues like chronic pain, benefits for workers with severe disabilities, cost relief, mental health disorders, and activity-related soft tissue disorders. For full details, check out the Policy Workplan here.

The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation Workplan covers proposed changes in areas like harassment and violence prevention, psychological safety, and measures for handling combustible dusts (including flour dust), along with other major technical updates. Explore the complete OHS Regulation Workplan for more information.

Since these changes could impact assessment rates, RCC encourages members to share any specific concerns or areas you’d like us to address. Please reach out to Greg Wilson, Director Government Relations (B.C.), at gwilson@retailcouncil.org.
