Paul Wood, CEO, Giant Tiger will share how the company is turning connection to community into a key component of its operating values by leveraging the insight that people delight in found treasures and how Giant Tiger turns this into the exact right product assortment. Vendors and suppliers will learn how to better navigate through Giant Tiger’s unique operating module to more effectively manage their own profitability and success.
Paul Wood was appointed President and CEO of Giant Tiger on August 1, 2020. Prior to being appointed CEO, Mr. Wood served as President and COO after a number of years as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for the Canadian discount retail chain. Paul gained experience overseeing finance, real estate, warehousing and distribution, supply chain, human resources and merchandise planning since joining Giant Tiger in 2003. Mr. Wood is known for his extensive knowledge of the business, customer-centric approach, and passion for the company’s core values. Mr. Wood also serves on Giant Tiger’s Board of Directors. A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Wood holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University.
