Committees

Loss Prevention Advisory Council

The LP Advisory Committee is open to senior loss prevention personnel from RCC member companies. The objective of the committee is to provide a forum for Loss Prevention, Asset Protection and Risk Management leaders from across Canada to discuss challenges within the industry and collaborate on issues facing retailers. The Advisory Committee will identify trends, insights, and provide solutions regarding matters of risk within the areas of Loss Prevention and Risk Management to establish Key Objectives and core activities focused on providing solutions and sharing best practices.

The Committee has identified three critical issues/trends that are common to all retailers across Canada and have established the following Strategic Objectives for 2022:

  1. Increase of workplace violence, arson, and property crime
  2. Collaboration with Police, Justice, and government
  3. Organized Retail Crime

The committee convenes every two months through virtual meetings and during the annual LP Conference.
