On August 17, 2022, the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) released its long awaited Guidance to Facilitate Consistent Extended Producer Responsibility Policies and Programs for Plastic. It was developed jointly by the 14 federal, provincial and territorial Ministers responsible for the Environment in their respective jurisdictions with early input from industry stakeholders and other interested parties.
