NAFTA - Retail Council of Canada

NAFTA

Since 1994, Canada, the United States and Mexico have operated as one of the world’s largest free trade zones under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).  The trade and investment rules set in this agreement was designed to systematically eliminate both tariff and non-tariff barriers.

Current NAFTA negotiations may result in significant changes. Retail Council of Canada has spoken out on behalf of retailers in Canada and the potential implications to retailers, consumers, employment, and our economy.
