COVID-19 in Canada: One Year On – Boston Consulting Group

May 6, 2021

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has created a report that provides an excellent perspective on the COVID-19 pandemic, one year into the fray.

Highlights include:

  • A look back on the impact of the first year of COVID-19 on the Canadian economy & consumer;
  • How retailers can expect public health measures to evolve over the next 9 months in response to the growth of new variants and the ongoing vaccination campaign;
  • A forward-looking view of the macroeconomic recovery in Canada, including the implications of government debt, household savings, and what it means for retailers (category planning, operational considerations).

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has supported Retail Council of Canada over the last year through their partnership in developing the Road to Retail Recovery Playbook and the RCC BCG Recovery Dashboard.

This new report is free to RCC members by logging into your RCC member account. If you don’t remember your password, you can easily reset it by entering your email here.
