New Brunswick households with positive COVID-19 cases required to self-isolate

November 23, 2021

While the circuit breaker measures in Zone 1 (Moncton area) and Zone 7 (Miramichi area) have been lifted, new measures began on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 6pm.

These strict new measures require that everyone in a household with a positive COVID-19 case isolate for 14 days. This mandate applies everywhere in the province and encompasses all New Brunswickers regardless of their vaccination status. Fully vaccinated New Brunswickers will be able to leave isolation before the end of the 14-day isolation, pending test results. Job protection is in place for employees who must isolate, but the leave will be unpaid.
