RCC meets with Minister of Labour, Minister of Environment

On March 28, 2023, the RCC team, accompanied by Marie-Claude Bacon, Metro’s VP affaires publiques et communications, traveled to Québec City to meet with Benoit Charette, Québec Minister of Environment, of Fauna and Parks.

RCC presented our objectives to the Minister and his team and we discussed the important environmental issues facing Québec and the retail sector. RCC will continue to keep members up to date on any upcoming laws or regulations that may impact our members.

On March 31, 2023, at RCC’s third Déjeuners Politiques et détail event, RCC welcomed the Minister of Labour, Jean Boulet. More than fifty RCC members attened; being able to directly ask the Minister about their concerns, particularly regarding the bill governing child labour and the changes to the OHS regime, was one of the key highlights members appreciated.
