Gig work is an income-earning activity outside of standard employer-employee relationships. B.C. is reviewing the conditions gig workers face in their job to ensure appropriate standards are in place. Government may propose employment standards amendments for gig workers and ensure these employees are not incorrectly classified as independent contractors. View consultation.
