Core retail sales down in August 2023: Statistics Canada
December 20, 2023Retail sales ticked down 0.1% to $66.1 billion month-over-month in August 2023, according to Statistics Canada’s latest sales report.
Core retail sales were down 0.3% in August. Sales at food and beverage retailers dropped from lower sales at supermarkets and other grocery retailers (-1.6%).
