November Core Retail Sales Up 2.1% year over year, down -0.6% from October
January 19, 2024StatCan Retail Sales released today indicates:
- Total retail sales (incl. auto and gas, seasonally adjusted) were up year over year by 1.8%, down -0.2% from October)
- Ecommerce up significantly year over year, by 10.8%
- Core retail sales—which exclude gasoline stations and fuel vendors and motor vehicle and parts dealers were up 2.1% YoY
- Sector-specific seasonally information varied by category (Learn more)
- Regional retail sales information was also released
