Saskatchewan legislature back in session

March 7, 2023

The Saskatchewan legislature session resumed Monday, March 6, 2023, with the introduction of a new party with one member. The right-leaning Saskatchewan United Party recently was formed and will be represented by former independent MLA Nadine Wilson.

The ruling Saskatchewan Party has had a comfortable lead in the polls as they prepare to debate recently introduced bills, such as the Saskatchewan First Act that similar to Alberta’s bill, will assert more control over Saskatchewan’s side of Federal issues.

The next provincial election is scheduled for October 2024.
