CNESST to increase prevention measures throughout Quebec

Given the high number of COVID-19 cases in Quebec coming from workplaces, the Commission des normes, de l’équité de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST) announced it would intensify its actions across the province. With the current situation in the Capitale Nationale and Chaudière-Appalaches, the CNESST will carry out an immediate intervention blitz in those regions in collaboration with Public Health.
CNESST is also stepping up its prevention promotion actions; 300 of its agents will be deployed over the next few days to support workplaces in their management of occupational health and safety with staffers from the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the City of Quebec.
