Clarification on proof of vaccination checks for delivery drivers at quick service restaurants in Newfoundland and Labrador

October 13, 2021

The government has provided clarity that under proof of vaccination rules, quick service restaurants (QSRs) do not have to ask for proof of vaccination from delivery drivers. This includes delivery drivers who bring supplies to the QSR and delivery drivers who engage in home delivery of the QSR’s food products to customers. However, contractors (e.g. plumbers, electricians) who are providing services in a QSR would be expected to provide proof of vaccination, given that this type of service requires more time inside the QSR.
